What:

In partnership with the Parks, Forestry and Recreation, City of Toronto, East Metro Youth Services (EMYS) is proud to offer Scarborough youth an Enhanced Youth Space.

The EMYS Youth Space is an Enhanced Youth Space,  a place where youth can come to create, connect, learn and inspire.

The model for the enhanced youth spaces was approved by City Council in 2014 and focuses on three components: dedicated space for youth, consistent staff and programming tailored to youth interests.

Examples of some of the programming offered at the Enhanced Youth Spaces includes: Barbering, Learn to DJ, DIY Nail Art, Dominoes Club and Financial Literacy.

Drop-In Hours

Mondays 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Tuesdays 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Wednesdays 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Thursdays  East Qrew 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Fridays 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Why:

Because it is fun. Did we mention it is free …and free food too.

Learn and develop new hair design skills from a professional stylist.

D.I.Y. Do It Yourself Workshops

Join us in weekly activities teaching you how to make various items.

Tuesdays 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Youth Entrepreneurship Program

(15-18 years old)

Learn how to start your own business and start making money. Gain employable skills that enhance your resume and create opportunities for you.

Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Make Beats

(15-19 years old)

Learn the basics of how to produce your own music by using sampling, drum and percussion patterns, bass lines and melodies; learn how to us the program FL Studio
