Reaching Youth Through Engagement (RYTE)

 

Studio 2 Multimedia Program

Studio 2 supports youth in the development of multimedia skills, as well as social skills, with an emphasis on media literacy and violence prevention.  Studio 2 utilizes various forms of industry standard digital media software and hardware, to engage youth to design a variety of media projects.  These studio2projects include film and documentaries, print, photography, portfolio development, and music/audio recording.

Youth-In-Transition (YIT) Program

In partnership with The Pape Adolescent Resource Centre, EMYS’ Youth-In-Transition Program assists youth in their transition from the child welfare system to adulthood.  YIT workers facilitate access to supports and services in the community, including housing, education, employment and training, life skills, health and mental health services and legal services.

Youth are eligible for the program if 16 – 24 years of age and is and/or was  a crown ward,  or is eligible for support under the Renewed Youth Support Policy (RYS) or Continued Care and Support for Youth (CCSY).

Referrals to the program may be made directly to The Pape Adolescent Resource Centre at 416-462-1010 by youth or family, Children’s Aid Societies or other  service providers working with the youth.

theZoneThe Zone Youth Centre – Drop In

The Zone Youth Centre operates a youth drop in on Tuesday and Friday from 3-5pm.  It is a safe place for youth to innovate and engage!
