Carly Kalish Awarded 2016 Vital People Award

East Metro Youth Services (EMYS), an adolescent mental health and addictions centre based in Scarborough, Ont., today announced that gender-based violence and trauma therapist Carly Kalish has been awarded the prestigious 2016 Vital People Grant from the Toronto Foundation.

Premier Wynne apologizes to Franco-Ontarians

A formal apology was delivered on February 22, 2016, to the Franco-Ontarian community from the Government of Ontario. Premier Wynne recognized that a 1912 regulation banning the teaching of French ‘’showed a disregard for Franco-Ontarian identity and equality."
