Lead Agency

As Toronto’s Lead Agency for Infant, Children and Youth Mental Health since 2015, we are focused on transforming the experience of infants, children, youth and families with mental health challenges. This includes developing and operationalizing system-wide changes to better improve access, experience and mental health outcomes for Toronto’s diverse communities.

The Lead Agency works is done in collaboration with Toronto’s 30 Core Service Providers, which is comprised of the largest provincial grouping of service providers that also includes agencies that serve the 0 to 6 population, and through extensive, meaningful engagement of youth and families.

We are also focused on building and strengthening relationships with the Education, Healthcare, Welfare, Justice System and other sectors and community partners to better meet infant, children, and youth mental health needs.

“Every child and young person deserves support to reach their full potential – and our communities and our province need them to realize that potential. Children and young people deserve a mental health system that delivers services and supports that respond quickly and comprehensively to their needs, as close to home as possible.”
